Greenguard Gold Certified
We use nothing but Greenguard Gold Certified pigments, stains, and topcoats. However, we don't stop there—we go above and beyond!
Our Commitment to Safety
A crib is one of the most important purchases you will make in your lifetime. Why? It’s the only place where you will leave your baby unattended for up to 8 hours at a time. You want that place to be a haven—safe, comfortable, and beautiful. That is why it is our mission to create beautiful nursery furniture that doesn’t sacrifice safety for design.
Safety Features
- All our cribs and case goods are tested above and beyond the most rigorous standards.
- We meet or exceed all CPSC/ASTM safety standards.
- We implement voluntary measures to exceed U.S. requirements regarding phthalates and heavy metals.
-
Our production methods and materials are continuously reviewed and retested in line with evolving safety standards.
Our Finishing Process
We take pride in our finishing. We believe in open communication and transparency regarding our materials and finishes. We strive to educate new parents about finishing details, test results, and the chemical composition of our coatings, metal parts, and even packaging.
Our pigments and topcoats are developed exclusively for us by AkzoNobel’s team of artists and color specialists. Each finish is Greenguard Gold Certified, ensuring minimal phthalates and low VOC emissions.
Why Greenguard Gold Certification Matters ?
Products certified by Greenguard must meet stringent emission standards for indoor air quality. This means:
- Low chemical emissions ensure a safer nursery environment.
- No significant release of harmful compounds into the air.
Does Greenguard Test for Phthalates?
Greenguard does not measure phthalates, except under its Children and Schools certification. Phthalates are semi-volatile and begin evaporating approximately seven days after exposure to air. Additionally, Greenguard does not evaluate the manufacturing process or any byproducts from production or disposal.
We Go Above and Beyond
We independently test all layers for phthalates and heavy metals. Our production processes meet EPA guidelines for emissions across North America, including California (CDPH).
